Ambassador Gharib Abadi elected ad 3rd Vice-President to the CCPCJ

 
 
At the reconvened 27th session of the United Nations Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, CCPCJ , on 7 December 2018, Ambassador Gharib Abadi, Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations and other International Organizations in Vienna, has been elected as 3rd Vice-President to the CCPCJ for the period of one year on behalf of the Asian Group Countries.
 
The establishment of the CCPCJ was decided during an UN General Assembly in 1950 and had its first Congress in 1955. The Commission is the principal policy making body that acts in the field of crime prevention and criminal justice and thus offers the Members the opportunity to discuss about national and international issues and develop strategies accordingly.
